Thai Massage FAQ — Your Questions Answered
What should I wear for Thai massage?
Traditional Thai massage is performed fully clothed. Wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing — we can provide Thai trousers and a top if needed.
How long is a session?
Sessions are available in 30, 60 or 90 minutes. We recommend at least 60 minutes for a full-body treatment.
Is Thai massage painful?
Traditional Thai massage involves firm pressure and stretching. It should feel therapeutic rather than painful — always tell your therapist if you need lighter or deeper pressure.
Do I need to book in advance?
Yes, we operate by appointment. Please book in advance by phone, WhatsApp or online. Same-day appointments are sometimes available.
What is the deposit policy?
A 50% deposit is required to confirm your booking. The balance is paid when you visit.
Do you offer sports massage?
Yes — we offer sports massage, deep tissue massage and Thai Combination Massage for athletes and active clients.
What are your prices?
Sessions start from £35 for 30 minutes. See our full services and pricing page.
Where are you located?
We are at 109 Penarth Road, Cardiff CF11 6JT — between Cardiff city centre and Penarth.
Is Thai massage suitable for everyone?
Thai massage is suitable for most healthy adults, but there are some situations where you should check with us or your doctor first, including pregnancy, recent surgery or injury, heart conditions, or certain skin complaints. If you let us know about any health concerns when booking, we can adapt the treatment or recommend a gentler option such as Swedish or Head & Shoulder Massage.
How should I prepare for my treatment?
Try to arrive a few minutes early so you can settle in and relax. Avoid a heavy meal in the hour or two beforehand, and drink plenty of water before and after your session to help your body flush out the toxins released during massage. Wear or bring comfortable clothing, especially for traditional Thai massage which is performed clothed.
Will I feel sore afterwards?
Some clients feel mild tenderness for a day after a deep treatment, much like after exercise. This is normal and usually eases quickly. Staying hydrated, resting and gentle stretching all help. If you have any concerns after your visit, please get in touch and we will be glad to advise.
